STREET AT NIGHT TIME

Ieri sera ho incontrato la mia amica Mary per un aperitivo. E' stato un piacere rivederla dopo molti mesi che aveva trascorso in Russia e in Spagna. Ci siamo fermate nei pressi del Bar della Pace e ho scelto come location del mio shooting una "viuzza" appena illuminata. E' stato divertente farsi fotografare da un'amica che però è anche un' esperta del visual. Così sono nate delle foto poetiche che ritraggono Roma di notte e me con un outfit groovie.

Indossavo:

- un nuovo paio di jeans di H&M 

- una pashimina di viscosa (presso un piccolo negozio di gioielli e monili etnici in Via dei Coronari, Roma)

- un giacchetto di eco-pelle che avete visto spesso nel mio blog

- una borsa di H&M 

- una camicia di seta di Coast Weber Ahaus 

- un cappello di cotone di B.Nice (presso Via del Governo Vecchio, Roma)
- gli stivali di Entourage Illimited (Country Club, Roma)

Gli accessori completano il mio outfit: la sciarpa lunga color bianco che spicca sul nero come colore prevalente, la borsa con le frange ed il cappello di cotone (disponibile anche in nero, verde militare e carta da zucchero).

Last night I met my friend Mary for a happy hour. I was happy to see her again after many months that she had spent in Russia and Spain. We stopped near the Bar della Pace and I chose as my shooting a narrow street just illuminated. It was fun being photographed by a friend who is also a visual expert. Thus, the poetic pictures were born that portrayed Rome by night and me with a groovie outfit.

I wore:

- A new denim by H&M
- A viscose pashimina (at a small jewelry and ethnic store in Via dei Coronari, Rome)
- A faux leather jacket (that you often saw on my blog)
- A bag by H&M
- A silk shirt by Coast Weber Ahaus that is longer at the back
- A cotton hat cotton by B.Nice ( at Via del Governo Vecchio, Rome)
- The boots by Entourage Illimited ( Country Club, Rome)


The accessories complete my outfit: a long white scarf stands out against the black as main color, the bag with fringe and cotton hat (also available in black, khaki and sugar paper) .

LET ME BITE YOU: OTHER USES OF COCOA

Non ho mai pensato al cacao come prodotto cosmetico, ma mia madre mi ha suggerito una maschera per capelli che voglio condividere con voi.

Gli ingredienti sono i seguenti:

- 125 ml di yogurt greco

- 3 cucchiai di cacao in polvere

- 2 cucchiai di miele

Uniteli insieme fino ad ottenere una crema come nella foto.

Non potete immaginare il profumo che emana e l'effetto benefico sui vostri capelli.

Provatelo!

Inoltre, potrete anche provare lo scrub per il corpo:

- 200 gr. di di miele

- 50 mil di olio di mandorle

- 350 gr.di zucchero di canna

- 200 gr. di cioccolato fondente

Sciogli il cioccolato a bagno maria e unisci al resto usando un mixer.

Infine, per il burro di cacao:

- 1 cucchiaio di burrò di karité in erboristeria

- 2 cucchiai di cacao

Amalgama bene e conservalo in frigo in una scatolina.

I have never thought to use cocoa like a cosmetic product, but my mother suggested a hair mask that I want to share with you.

The ingredients are the following:

- 125 ml of greek yogurt
- 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons honey


Join them together until you get a cream like in the picture.
You can not imagine the smell that emanates and the beneficial effect on your hair.
Try it!




In addition, you can also try the body scrub:

- 200 gr. of honey
- 50 mil of almond oil
- 350 gr brown sugar
- 200 gr. dark chocolate


Melt the chocolate in a bain marie and join the rest using a mixer.




Finally, the cocoa butter:

- 1 tablespoon of shea butter in herbal medicine
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa

Mix well and store in the fridge in a box.

DROP OF MOOD DIVA

Ieri è stato come un viaggio nel tempo, qualche passo negli anni '50 per sentirsi un pò diva. Alcuni scatti fotografici sembrano appartenere ad un manuale cinematografico sulla movida romana, i migliori registi ed attori. Che invidia! Se penso a quell'epoca ...

Un vento fortissimo animava la silenziosa Isola Tiberina, le persone prendevano il sole lungo il fiume ed io ammiravo ciò che mi circondava rimanendo senza parole.

Indossavo un trench vintage di Bruphils, le flippers rosse di Zara, gli occhiali da sole Rayban, la borsa e i pantaloni di Jaggy (che avete visto in precedenti posts) ed una T-shirt bianca di H&M.

Il mio nuovo acquisto sono le ciabattine che vidi a Londra in color neutro; in Italia le comprai qualche mese fa ad un prezzo strepitoso. Le trovo raffinate e sbarazzine allo stesso tempo, voi? Sono già piaciute molto sul mio profilo Instagram @dropofmood!

Yesterday it was like a trip back in time, a few steps in the '50s to feel as a diva. Some photographs seemed to belong to a film textbook on the Roman movida, the best directors and actors. What envy! if I think about that time ...

A strong wind lighted the silent Tiber Island up, people sunbathed along the river and I admired that surrounded me speechless.

I was wearing a trench coat vintage by Bruphils, the red flippers by Zara, Rayban sunglasses, purse and pants by Jaggy (which you have seen in previous posts) and a white T-shirt from H&M.

My new purchase are the slippers that I saw in London in a neutral color; in Italy I bought a few months at a great price. I find them elegant and cheeky at the same time, you? They're already loved on Instagram @dropofmood!

THE SUN IN THE DARKNESS ...

Camminare a Roma è sempre una piacevole sorpresa e una ricchezza per i tuoi occhi. Di notte la quiete, che scende sulla città, è quasi inquietante dopo la miriade di rumori che assordano le tue orecchie giornalmente. La cura di tutti i mali, però, è ascoltare nelle ore notturne come l'arte parla in quel silenzio. La fontana, che noi abbiamo ammirato nel film "La grande bellezza", è un luogo del miracoloso silenzio così come il quartiere che la ospita, Il Gianicolo. Stavo seduta dinanzi ad essa ad ascoltare l'acqua mentre scendeva e ad osservare due coppie sullo scooter che amoreggiavano e uno scorcio della città che sembrava un neon accecante.

Indossando un trench di Zara che è stato abbinato con un blue jeans e una T-shirt a righe di Tally Weijl che avete visto nel precedente post. Tutto questo shooting è nato, quindi, dall'improvvisazione senza nessun "trucco e parrucco", e dunque dal desiderio di condividere quell'emozione con voi e di aggiornarvi su un altro trend: il colore giallo. 

Walking in Rome is always a pleasant surprise and a treasure for your eyes. At night the quiet that descends on the city, it is almost disturbing after the myriad of noises that deafen your ears daily. The cure for all ills, though, is go around it and stop to look at the art speaks in the silence. Then, there are some places that you seek in your mind so that you tranquilize those memories. The fountain, which we have admired in the movie " La grande bellezza" is one of these as well as the district that hosts, the Gianicolo. I was sitting in front of it while listening to the water and went down to look at two couples on the scooter that flirt and a glimpse of the city as a blinding neon.

Wearing a yellow trench coat by Zara which was paired with a blue jeans and a striped T -shirt by Tally Weijl just posted in the previous post. All this shooting is born from improvisation with no hairstyle and makeup, but it was only the desire to share that feeling with you and update you on another trend: the color yellow.

SIMPLY SELFIE!

Il selfie è il tormentone del momento per mezzo del quale narcisismo e condivisione si sposano assieme. Perché criminalizzare questo divertente mood? Si stanno diffondendo nel web esacerbate critiche a riguardo, come se esso fosse il rituale peggiore di ogni tempo. Tutto ciò può esser opinabile ma è pur sempre un simbolo di una società che si appresta ad esser sempre più veloce e che nel social network trova risposte, quali la nascita di rapporti personali e lavorativi. 

Molti di noi sono soliti fare dei selfie, le celebs soprattutto; laddove c'è un evento, una sfilata, un blog non può mancare quella foto scattata per condividere quell'istante con il mondo.

Per rimanere in tema, le foto che seguono provengono dal mio profilo di Instagram @dropofmood. Troverete una maglietta con una frase che rivendica la nostra libertà e voglia di fare; un'altra, invece, a righe bianco-nere per un look molto trendy che vi consiglio di provare. Dovete avere assolutamente un paio di collant velate di color nero, uno shorts di jeans e una maglietta messa dentro, scarpe con la zeppa e possibilmente anche delle bretelle nere. Per concludere l'outfit perfettamente, io opterei per un eyeliner nero e un rossetto rosso fuoco.

Spero che vi piacciano le mie foto, i miei selfie e le idee che essi esprimono la mia visione della vita ed i miei gusti.

The selfie is the catchphrase of the moment by which narcissism and sharing are combined together. Why criminalize this fun mood? They are spreading the web exacerbated criticism about it as if it were a ritual worst of all time. All this may be debatable, but it is still a symbol of a society that is going to be getting faster and find answers in the social network, such as the creation of personal and working relationships.

Many of us used to do the selfie, especially celebs; where there is an event, a fashion show, a blog you can not miss that photo taken that moment to share with the world.

Continuing the theme, the photos below come from my Instagram's profile @dropofmood. You will find a T-shirt with a phrase that claims our freedom and desire to do; another, however, black-white- striped for a very trendy look that I recommend you try. You have to have absolutely a pair of black veiled tights veiled, denim shorts and a T-shirt put in, platform shoes, and possibly even the black suspenders. To finish the outfit perfectly, I'd go for a black eyeliner and a bright red lipstick .

POR SI SIGUE LLOVIENDO ...

Il trench è uno dei capi d'abbigliamento che non muore mai, ma che mi annoio ad indossare. Progettato da Burberry con cuciture fatte a mano e rigorosamente annodato in vita, oggi è ancora funzionale e stylish allo stesso tempo. 

Per lasciare a bocca aperta chi ti vede passare c'è, però, un escamotage: rendilo attuale abbinandolo con toni accesi e stampe. Io lo indosserei con uno shorts sbarazzino o lo sceglierei fra i colori pastello che la moda primaverile propone. 

Vi consiglio oversize e sbottonato perché nella moda non ci sono regole, bensì passione e personalità ;)

The trench coat is one of the clothing items that never dies, but I get bored to wear it.

It was designed by Burberry stitching done by hand and wearing strictly tied at the waist. Today it's still functional and stylish at the same time.

To leave gaping who sees you go there, however, a loophole: make it fashionable pairing with bright shades and prints. I would wear with a cool shorts or choose it among the pastel colors that spring fashion shows.

I recommend oversized and unbuttoned because there are no rules, but just the passion and personality in the fashion.
